浴衣ざらいを終えて・・After the summer mini dance recital

1ヶ月程前に催した会の報告を、ようやく致します。

まずは、地元新聞に取材して頂いた記事から・・・

Finally, I'm reporting about the mini recital I held about 1 month ago.

This  is a local newapaper article... 

写真のお嬢さんは、子供の頃、私がお稽古したことのある方で、半年前に、再び稽古を始めたいと訪ねてくれました。

その時既に、将来の為に遠くへ引っ越す希望がある事は告げられていましたが、

浴衣ざらい直前、思いの外早くその時が来たことを知らされました。

次は何を稽古しようか、私はもう予定を立てていたので、

一瞬とても残念に思いましたが、未来に向かう彼女の一歩を喜んで送り出したい気持ちも大きいのです。

今となってみると、まるで、『藤娘』を踊る為に稽古に訪れたような気がします。

日本舞踊の代表的な、そして人気の演目を、家族中が見守る中で踊るお手伝いが出来て、本当に良かったと思いました。

I taught the girl in the picture when she was a child.  She came to my lesson studio half a year ago.

She told me, at that time, that sometime in the future she would move out from her home in order to prepare her new life. 

And before the mini recital, she told me the time was coming sooner than I expected. 

I had already planned her next lesson, so for a short moment I felt disappointed, but soon I felt happy to see her new step into her future. 

Now I feel that her visit had meaning to make her dance "Fuji-musume" (Wisteria girl)" which is one of the most famous and popular Kabuki dances.

It was so nice that I could help her to dance that piece on the stage in front of her family and audience.
